GTurbo have developed a range of turbos, each suited to your engine, vehicle and planned usage.
The range currently covers Nissan ZD30 and TD42
Toyota 1HZ, 1HD-T, 1HD-FT/E, 1KD-FTV and 1VD-FTV.

The Grunter series is designed as an upgrade that offers quick boost response early in the rpm range (great low rpm torque) whilst delivering a substantial power increase in the higher rpms compared with OEM, typically in the range 30-60%*

The Bad Boy series is designed as a sports or race oriented upgrade that offers quick boost response early in the rpm range (great low rpm torque) whilst delivering a more extreme power and torque increase in the higher rpms compared with OEM, typically in the range 60-120%*

DTS diesel turbo kits

 

 

DTS Systems are manufactured and tested for Australian condition and are ideal for Off Road, Towing and the Daily Commute. High quality components and careful installation and tuning ensure smooth usable power and increased low end torque to make driving your 4×4 and pleasure.
DTS has conversion kits for most popular 4x4s and upgrade kits for the factory turbo charged Nissan Patrol TD42.
McGrath Automotive provides full fitting for all DTS Diesel turbo kits and upgrade kits.

 

Nissan Upgrade Kit    

McGrath Automotive can supply and install the DTS upgrade kit for your factory turbo charged GU Patrol. The can be supplied with either the GT2860R, GTX2863R or GTX2867R.  We couple the kit with a Mild Steel or 409 Stainless Steel Scott’s Rods exhaust system while utilising the Manta cast iron 3inch dump that comes with the DTS kit.  Boost levels are set to 12.5psi in the out of the box kit, As fitted the kit lowers exhaust gas temperatures which can get dangerously high when towing with the standard turbo.  Tuning of the diesel injection pump increases power and torque while maintaining safe exhaust gas temperatures. 
The factory intercoolers are marginal at best and we recommend upgrading to a larger intercooler.  To finish off the job there is always the option of our custom Nissan door stickers.

Nissan TD42 dump pipe comparison

 

Below is a picture of the stock TD42 turbo with the stock pump pipe fitted (top left), the GT2860R DTS upgrade turbo witted with the kit supplied Manta 3inch dump (bottom left).
Top right is the dump pipe supplied with the Scott’s Rods exhaust system and Bottom right is the MTQ 2.5inch cast iron dump pipe.
The Manta and Scott’s Rods are our preferred upgrade, the stock dump pipe is so restrictive that leaving it in place and fitting a dump pipe back 3inch exhaust has proven to offer no increase in power or to have any noticeable effect on the spool rate of the turbo. In short it’s a waste of time and money to fit an exhaust and not upgrade the dump pipe. 
Our Scott’s Rods upgrades come as a complete turbo back system and the dump pipe issue is taken car of.  For those of you unlucky enough to have fitted a dump pipe back system with the stock dump pipe, talk to us about upgrading with the Manta cast iron dump pipe.
